custom zelda amiibo cards review

Check out our Zelda amiibo Card Review!

Hey collectors,

Today we got our hand on our very own set of custom zelda amiibo cards. First off I would like to get this clear, we did not purchase those awful pvc cards you know those sticky, faded amiibo cards, not a fan sorry. Is this kind of PVC even safe to handle? just seems a bit off to me. I actually sourced some real amiibo cards that sort of feel like playing cards. Similar size touch, why? I don't know, I just wanted something more premium for this Zelda amiibo card review. It is our first review after all so we might as well go all out. We are breaking our review into a few sections like appearance, functionality, price. Then we give a final score at the bottom out of 10. This is our own personal view of these custom zelda amiibo cards so just let use know what you think with in the comments section.

So let me begin by letting you know these were not from China, Ebay, amazon or Etsy these were bought from an independent seller we found on google. We did a quick search and thought these sellers artwork seemed unique and they sold a wide range of cards we bought our zelda amiibo cards from mramiibo. If you have not heard of mramiibo well he has been creating amiibo cards for a few years now according to their about us section and it looks to me like they are offering unique amiibo card designs so I am assuming hes the real deal. So let us begin with our zelda amiibo card review!

 Appearance / Overall Feel

When we purchased these cards we were impressed with the website and over all purchase steps. It was simple as picking an amiibo card you wanted, placing it in your basket and basically buying the cards. We had the option to pay with Paypal so it was a simple Paypal checkout process. The delivery time was estimated at 5 - 15 working days we got them in 6 working days. mramiibo is situated in the UK we are in the US, Texas (woop). Wasn't bad at all. I was surprised to get it so soon to be fair tracking was included on a full order of Zelda amiibo cards so that was a nice touch.

On receiving the package I opened it up and was greeted with a nice little contact card and a storage tin. This isn't a cheap tin this is solid metal. Seriously you could throw it at the wall and it would be fine, perfect for storing these cards in. So I opened up this great little storage tin and found the amiibo cards. They snugly fit in all 24 of them. Each zelda botw amiibo card came in it's own little sleeve too. Kinda like you would find with baseball cards I'm assuming this is to just keep them clean. I removed each one and check them over, they look pretty good. Feel great like Pokemon cards. At first I was apprehensive as you always are when you purchase something new. But to say the least I was happy so far with my purchase.

 Scan / Functionality

This is the first time I have used an amiibo card, I didn't really jump on the whole animal crossing game wagon. So I have not used them before. Although my wife is crazy about animal crossing, seriously, she spends more time there than she does in the real world. Kind of like me and my obsession with world of Warcraft (don't judge -_-). So I just assumed they would work like the amiibo figures just pick em up and scan right? Right, the scan was great. Picked up every time no matter which side I scanned. Seemed to have a great range too.

Overall pleased with the scan quality and the functionality too! with this full set of zelda amiibo cards I was able to unlock so many items! and seriously 24 is a lot to scan in one session. It was great to see that loot rain down from the sky. I did not have any scan issues or problem with these amiibo cards. It's worth while to note that the full set of 24 contains Young link from SSBU that doesn't drop any good loot for Zelda BOTW but was a nice touch to add him to the set and there is 2 Majoras mask amiibo cards 1 majoras mask link and 1 fierce deity. I was able to scan both on the same day so I got double loot!

 Price

Now for the bit we all hate to talk about. This set of 24 amiibo cards cost me around $50 now you might gasp at that price as you may have seen some on wish for around what? $22 or something so it's more than double. I have bought the ones from wish and they were tiny! what's that about? But to be fair these are full size handmade playing cards. There was a storage tin and I got tracked post. Im happy to pay that price for the amiibo cards I received as I know a lot of effort must have gone into making them. Now something else to bare in mind I got 10%  off too ;) so don't go telling everyone (FACEBOOK coupon code).

Overall I am pleased with the price paid.

Closing Points

Overall I am pleasantly surprised with my purchase of Zelda amiibo cards. The feel, touch, look and scan were all spot on. The price for what was offered wasn't bad either. I gotta say thought I am really loving the design especially the Super Smash Bros Ultimate ones I have not seen this kind of amiibo card artwork before and the colors really do look great. I am happy that I decided to pay little extra to get custom hand made zelda botw amiibo cards instead of those ugly plastic ones!

The storage box is perfect for those little accidents or if it falls out of my bag whilst rushing to get my switch out I know it's gonna be safe. I am quite clumsy seriously.
